Welcome to the official author website of Michael James Preston.

 

Michael has been writing since he could first hold a pencil, but only in recent years has he turned to writing novels.

 

His background includes thirty years in business and technology as well as writing a technology column for an upstate NY newspaper, working as an insulation installer, managing to work a single day for an excavation and explosives company, and traveling the country with his guitar, playing some of the best street corners and worst bars around.

His patient wife, Amie, puts up with his (very few) foibles as do his three children. The ever fluctuating number of dogs, cats, and other assorted critters in his house view him as a large, furry hamster and overlook said foibles as long as meals and snacks are delivered in a timely manner.
